Daily Recollection CD
At a Center for the Practice
of Zen Buddhist Meditation, we recite "The Daily Recollection" each
morning at the first sitting as a way of starting the day in an awareness
of the many facets of this Zen Buddhist practice. Recorded at the 2004 Precepts
Retreat, all tracks include bells, the sound of running water, and the "Ending
Suffering" recitation. The CD will thus provide a structure for
those sitting at home and wishing to bring the Monastery environment into

Music of the People CD
Zambia and Zimbabwe
Living Compassion sent Cheri, Jen, Phil, Alex and Tracey
to Zambia and Zimbabwe to gather information for the Africa Vulnerable
Children Project. Alex took a compact digital recorder. Whenever he heard
music coming from a church or music being made by people on the street,
he captured it. When he got back to the Monastery, he edited the
music and created this CD.
This recording is joyful and poignant. From single voices to full choirs, this
music reflects the indomiable spirit of the singers and musicians, many of
them among the poorest of the poor.
Proceeds from the sale of Music of the People benefit Living Compassion's African
