After a practice discussion around recent world events, and after looking at the photos Theresa sends each week, it struck me how lucky we are as a Sangha to have such a fun way to participate in the world.
It seems we all know that unconditional love, generosity, and kindness are how we want to live, the process we want for the world. In these times, it is easy to get pulled into a conditioned conversation that can lead to anger, outrage, and despair. Practice offers the opportunity to use this as a place to practice directing attention. How fortunate we are to have such a tangible way to do that in our participation with Kantolomba.
In this Bridge Walk season, as we practice emptying our teacups of everything that would keep us in a conditioned conversation (“Why is it like this? What’s going to happen? Nothing will make a difference.”), perhaps the opportunity for us is to allow the teacup to be filled with all we experience when we witness the work that happens every day in Kantolomba: gratitude, dedication, transformation, generosity, sweetness, a sense of partnership…fill in your own.
Take a moment to visit the Bridge Walk webpage, read what others in the Sangha are experiencing as they empty their teacups, AND jump in, participate, give the gift of sharing your experience! We ALL benefit.
One of my favorite Cheri Huber quotes fits very well here: "A heart completely surrounded by love cannot be harmed." Let’s be part of creating the love that surrounds—for ourselves, each other, our team in Kantolomba, and everyone!
We would love to see you on October 15 at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge, and if that’s not to be, we look forward to participating with you remotely over these 15 weeks of the 15th Annual Bridge Walk season!
Don’t forget to log the bamboozles you catch!
