![]() I don't know what your destiny will be, but one thing I do know:
In 2008 our PeaceStorming project was with the Ecumenical Hunger Project in East Palo Alto for the three days prior to the Bridge Walk. We did some construction and painting in their clothing distribution center. During the same three days we held a concurrent relay-walk from Palo Alto to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. Rotating teams covered the 40 miles in four days, completing the journey on Saturday morning in time for the Bridge Walk. As soon as the blog of this PeaceStorming event is available, we will post the link here. PeaceStorming 2009 is currently scheduled for April. We will be working here in our home territory of Calaveras County, California, with the Blue Mountain Coalition for Youth and Families. Plan now to join us! We will post details as they unfold.

We have made a commitment to create and participate in a yearly PeaceStorming event. What is PeaceStorming? It is a concentrated version of the experience we know so well through life at the Monastery, many retreats, and our work in Africa: that working together, being of service, meeting needs in ways that are beautiful and useful, creates peace and deep connection within us and among us.
