Yellow Branch Pottery Raffles for Living Compassion
The winner of the Second Annual Yellow Branch Pottery Raffle was chosen on July 4th, 2006. Cheri happened to be in North Carolina and drew the winning ticket! The raffle generated $1750.00. Linda Combs-Shepherd from North Carolina is the recipient of the dinnerware set. She heard about it from the Living Compassion mailings. At the beginning of Living Compassion's work in Africa, it occurred to me that it would fun to offer a raffle of pottery that I make and to donate the proceeds to the Africa Vulnerable Children's Project. My goal for the first raffle was to raise $2,000 and that goal was achieved! A third raffle has begun! Now that Living Compassion has grown to encompass several projects, all of the proceeds from this raffle will be donated to Living Compassion to be used as needed. A $10.00 donation enters a person into the drawing to receive eight place settings patterned after the dishes that I made and donated to the Monastery. The raffle will close on December 1, 2007. Click on the pottery raffle button to learn more and to donate. I hope my enthusiasm will encourage you to donate generously to the pottery raffle and support Living Compassion.
