The Bridge Walk dust has settled, the numbers are in, and it’s official—we have successfully funded the work in Kantolomba for another year!
Just after receiving that news we got this correspondence from Theresa:
“I’m emailing from Kantolomba right now. The children are all excitedly having their lunch in the dining hall, the little ones are just finishing off while the older students wait for their turn to get their share of the delicious Soya Chunks, veggies and nshima.
Charles is almost done with his first class of students, another class awaits him outside.
Veronica is taking in a grade three class for extra lessons while Joy, Georgina, Ethel and Beatrice are working with the little children. All the classes are doing great! The Genki lessons are wonderful.
Everyone is busy doing something!”
Can’t you just feel the joy of the participation! This is practice. This is Life living beyond I, me, mine. This is two communities of individuals, 9,800 miles apart, connected through a common aim: transforming lives and ending suffering. And we’ve just funded it for another year! Go us!
Gassho,
Jen
