When you’ve reflected on death in general or your death specifically, have you had a sense of how you want to die, how you might want your life to be celebrated, how you might want to be remembered? Have you considered how you might want to be supported while dying or how you might want your loved ones to be cared for as you go through the process of dying? Have you thought about what you would be leaving for someone else to cope with if your death is a sudden one?

Death and dying are not generally subjects that most people give much attention to! Most of us are too busy living! But are we really living? What stops us from looking at what is the only certainty in existence? Might there be merit in confronting the inevitability of aging, sickness and death?

Normally we do not like to think about death.
We would rather think about life.
Why reflect on death?
When you start preparing for death you soon realize
that you must look into your life now... and come to face the truth of yourself.
Death is like a mirror in which the true meaning of life is reflected.

Back by popular demand, this email class on Death and Dying will provide a framework to bring into conscious compassionate awareness the unexamined beliefs and assumptions that keep us from being fully alive now.

As the Buddha supposedly said, “Even death is not to be feared by one who has lived wisely.” We are diligently practicing living wisely. Let’s see how that wisdom can free us from the fear of death. Join Cheri in an interactive and experiential exploration of “Death and Dying,” and discover what might support you to awaken to the immediacy of a full life.
