Here’s an easy recipe that turns a bowl of oatmeal into a nutritional power house. It’s a breakfast that is guaranteed to carry you through any working meditation!

5-Minute Oatmeal Power Bowl
--Adapted from a recipe by Angela Liddon, Oh She Glows

Makes one hearty bowl


2 heaping Tbsp. chia seeds
1⁄3 cup rolled oats
1⁄4 tsp. cinnamon
2⁄3 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)
1⁄3 cup water 
1 Tbsp. ground flax seed (optional)
Chopped dates or raisins to taste (optional) 

Options for garnish: 
Fresh fruit
Toasted Coconut
Nut butter
Spices (ginger, allspice, cinnamon) 


1. The night before, mix the chia seeds, oats, cinnamon, raisins or dates, milk, and water until combined. Cover and refrigerate overnight. 

2. In the morning heat the oat mixture over medium-high and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat immediately to medium-low, and stir frequently until heated throughout. 

3. Place the oats in a bowl. Sprinkle with ground flax, if you choose, and your choice of toppings.
